Description
The WHISKER STIMULATION DEVICE is designed to measure neuronal response to whisker stimulation in awake head-fixed mice. Reward and auditory signals can be presented according to the animal’s performance. Whisker stimulating system can be used to study mechanisms of sensory signal detection in neuroscience research.

- Tactile stimuli: up to six sand papers with different textures are installed at one time
- Tactile stimuli can be presented to the whisker by linear and rotary motors.
- Liquid is supplied through a water spout (or lickometer) as a reward
- The mouse is mounted on the platform or the treadmill via the head-fixation
- Cues or feedback signals can be delivered as sound or light
- Software to set experimental parameters is provided
- Video recording to monitor licking and stimulus presentation in real time
- Easy adjustment of platform positioning with a magnetic base.
- Size and configuration can be specialized according to the customer’s request.
